L40 Ultra eatting mat by front door

I have a mud mat by the front door. It is secured with rug grips, but the robot just peels the rug off the grips and gets stuck on it.
Any solutions?

The rug grips basically are two sided tape straps. I don't think it's too thick, once the robot gets on it, it moves over it ok, it's just it picks up corners. I guess I'll double up the grips
