Mop feature

The manual says do not put any detergents for the mopping feature but I feel like it's not cleaning without cleaner of some sort. Has anyone tried adding cleaner? Has it messed up the machine?

I only use cleaner in the designated bin, I have original wood floors that have over time removed the old wood smell. We can definitely tell a difference. Try Youtube, I found a lot of useful info there too.

I have a D30S ultra 2nd gen but do not see a detergent area.
