Can this robot vacuum survive a full‑scale war against pests? 🐜🤖 Here's how.

Nobody wants to open their dust bin and find cockroaches. Here's how to keep pests out of your robot vacuum and base station for good.

The 6 rules of pest prevention:

1️⃣ Clean daily – Empty dust bin & dirty water tank. Remove hair, food scraps, and debris. Wipe seals with alcohol.

2️⃣ Store smart – Keep robot in a dry, well‑ventilated area. Avoid dark, damp corners or kitchens.

3️⃣ Deep clean weekly – Take apart the dust bin, filter, brush compartment, and bottom cover. Clean internal gaps and around the motor.

4️⃣ Seal the gaps – Check housing clips, drainage ports, and rubber seals. Repair any cracks or large gaps.

5️⃣ Repellent + hygiene – Place safe insect repellent near the robot. Keep food waste far away.

6️⃣ Long‑term storage – Clean, dry, and seal the robot in a storage bag when not in use for a while.

Follow these and your robot won't become a bug hotel. 🐜🚫

I’m going to throw my robot in the trash—even though I’ve only had it for a few months—because it became infested with all kinds of cockroaches; thanks to my neighbors, I’m also moving house because of this horrible infestation, and I’ll have to leave the robot behind.🙄☹️😮‍💨

I'm really sorry to hear this. Please try cleaning the dustbin thoroughly. Also, try not to place the robot in the kitchen, as moisture and food residue can attract roaches.
Hope this helps a bit.
