L40 UG 2 Wastewater smells rancid

The wastewater smells rancid. At first, we poured it down the sink but the kitchen stank for hours. Then I poured it out at the back of our yard and it stank outside. It is not cleaning up anything that is smelly just the regular dirt and dog hair. We use the cleaning solution. What makes it smell so bad? Does anyone else have this problem?

I pour mine in the toilet but if you put a drop of bleach or soap in there after you empty it helps a lot

I put a splash of plain white vinegar in the wastewater tank. (A couple of tablespoons)
Swish it around the tank, and then later on when I empty the tank, after use, it doesn’t smell like pond water. I do this with all of my Dreame products that have a waste water tank.
For the most part it is just not letting the water sit for too long. Between pets and constant mud, I’ve put a lot of cleaning hours on my units and vinegar works well.
Oh and cleaning it well between empties also helps.

Buy a box of Efferdent tablets. They’re very cheap and you wind up with at least 100 of them. Every time you empty the dirty water tank drop one in and you will get no odors.
