I’ve had the Dreame X50 Ultra running in my house for a while now, and it’s been awesome! Setup was fast, and the app is very intuitive. Once it's dialed in, you don’t have to really think about it. I schedule it to run every night at 2 a.m., and when I wake up, the floors are spotless! Vacuumed and mopped!
The suction power is impressive. It easily picks up dust, food, and anything else that ends up on my floors. I like how the mop actually gets cleaned by the base station instead of just dragging grime around like some other robot vacuums. The base uses a clean water tank and stores dirty water separately, and both are easy to access and rinse out. Maintenance is low effort, which I appreciate after a long day of work.
The mapping technology is super accurate. It quickly created a detailed map of my main floor, and I was able to divide it into rooms and zones without much tweaking. I love how flexible it is. You can exclude areas, create no-mop zones, or tell it to do multiple passes on certain parts. It’s also got excellent object detection. It doesn’t bump into furniture or get stuck, even in tighter spots where I thought it might struggle, such as between my chairs.
It can climb over small transitions between rooms, though I don’t have any thresholds that need that feature. The app keeps track of maintenance schedules for everything, from brushes to filters to the mop pad, so you always know when something needs attention. You can also control it remotely, which is great, although it does announce when it's being remotely controlled, which can be a bit much at times but it's a fun party trick or convenient when you're not home and want to check something.
One thing I’d love to see in the future is home assistant integration. Being able to pull it into my automation routines would be perfect, especially for syncing with other smart devices or setting conditional triggers. Leave the house? Clean! Wouldn't that be nice?
Overall, it’s probably the most hands-off cleaning solution I’ve ever used. It just works, and it works well. Guests are always impressed by how clean the floors are without me lifting a finger. When you spend the price tag for a robot vacuum, that's exactly what you want.
