Whenever I placed the docking station on hardwood floors, I didn’t encounter any issues. However, when I moved my L40 Ultra to the upstairs, it encountered various problems, such as not docking properly, mop pads not connecting, and remapping issues. These issues caused significant inconvenience and interference on my part.
I’m seeking suggestions or if anyone else has encountered similar problems with the L40 Ultra. I’m curious to know if the L50 Ultra and other newer models differ in terms of these issues.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
To troubleshoot the issue, please follow these steps:
1. Check for any foreign matter or dust on the robot's charging contacts. Dust can cause repeated docking issues. Please wipe the contacts clean before use.
2. Ensure the metal shrapnel on the charging contacts is not jammed.
3. Restart the robot, remove it from the charging dock, and then try recharging it. Listen for the voice prompt saying "start charging."
4. Reset the robot: Open the upper cover and locate the small reset hole near the Wi-Fi indicator. Press and hold the reset hole for 3 seconds until you hear the voice prompt "Start to restore factory settings." Then, restart the robot to see if it functions normally.
5. Regarding the mop problem: Please check whether the magnetism of the mop is normal. If it is normal, please restart the robot manually first, and then manually install the mop on the robot. Then put the robot back to the base station and try again.
If the problem persists, please feel free to contact us(support.na@dreame.tech) again.
Thank you for your understanding.
