Repeatable software bug (fitted carpet)

In my home, I have two separate areas with wall to wall fitted carpet.   If I designate those areas as “fitted carpet”, then my LV 50 ultra will never ever enter that room to clean.

Even if I create a cleaning session with ONLY the room containing fitted carpet, the robot will:
1) pull away from its dock,
2) start a vacuum,
3) think for about 10 seconds,
4) cancel the operation and
5) return to Dock
6) display error: unable to reach specified area

However, if I remove the fitted carpet assignment from any of those rooms, the robot will happily travel to the room and clean just as I directed it.

Therefore it would appear the ‘fitted carpet’ option breaks the system navigation


Can anyone else Verify this?

I noticed an issue with the my L50 when I turned on the cross-carpet setting enabled.  It wouldn't vacuum my carpet rooms.  

I turned it back to vacuum setting and that resolved the issue.  Might be something with the latest firmware updates.

I will test again with the next firmware update and if that setting works, I will turn off the auto updates.

cross-carpet setting only let the robot cross the carpet when necessary, not clean.

Hi,
Please check your carpet settings. If you want to clean the carpet, select Vacuum Mode. If you want to both vacuum and mop the carpet, select Ignore Mode.
