Dreame X40 manual mapping

Hi, my vacuum lives in polished timber floorboards, however there are two areas (living room and formal living room) of my 1st floor that are “sunken” about a 1 foot drop down. A ramp would need to be very long, so I figure I can just pick it up and place it there, but I don’t appear to be able to map the new area. The robot has an incomplete view of the spaces (presumably using lidar and camera) but I’d like it to be more accurate. How is that possible to achieve in the app?

The app does not support manual mapping.

You can try using the multi-floor map management feature and set the "sunken" areas as a map for another floor.

Set the house type to "Multi-Floor". Move the device to the "sunken" area and start mapping. After completing the mapping, manually move the device back to the base station to save the map. For subsequent cleanings, you need to first move the device to this area.

Note: If this area is relatively narrow or has obstacles, it may prevent the device from mapping or cleaning properly.
