Vacuum cannot return to base

Just setup my Dreame yesterday and did the mapping, but the vacuum cannot return to base. It gets stuck on the ramp. Everything is in on flat ground in our dining room, right where our Roomba was kept. Slightly frustrated. I tried the 3 troubleshooting suggestions in the app but those did not work either. Has anyone else had this immediately after putting it together? Any ideas on how to fix it? This is the current situation

Carpet is probably the issue? Mine sits on hard wood floor… oh those computer mats might solve that issue .

Check to see if you turned on the base. I thought I turned it on but was mistaken. Once I did that it finally went back to the base

Yeah. Check if the base is turn on. The light on the front, has to be on.

I bought L40 and setup. I have the same issue. Robot is unable to go back to base.

Is your base powered on? There should Be a button on the back

I've tried all of the suggestions; I've moved the base to various locations, but the vacuum will not dock. When I manually dock the robot and tap to clean, the app says cleaning but the robot doesn't move. It will leave the dock to map, but then it will not when it's done. Help!

I am having the same issue - it mapped correctly the first day but ever since it will not run and it will not dock. Base is definitely on. Am going to try reaching out to Technical Support but it may be sent back. That’s too much money to not work form the get go
