Fail to install mop pad

My mop pad always failed to install. My current carpet setup is removing mop pad before cleaning. It’s frustrating after u set up the procedure but have to manually install everytime. I have tried swapping the mop pads and it succeed once then continued to fail. What else I can do?

The mop pad holders come with a sticker on them and after use fall off or become worn out. The glue from the stickers stick to the washboard and keep them from being installed. Clean them with alcohol and it will fix it.
