Floor cleaning pattern

Is there a reason why my vacuum divides one room into smaller sections then it needs to instead of just making longer sweeps?

What’s the settings you are using to clean? I have noticed that my x40 will take different paths under different settings like the genius clean or custom cleaning settings, etc. Another thing is, what type of furniture do you have near by those paths? Also are there any mirrors in those rooms? Just trying to brainstorm out-loud. I know it’s not exactly the help you’re looking for. But I hate when I post and nobody responds back. So I felt like while I’m on here trying to figure out my own issue I could try and help somebody else if possible.
