Cannot connect to Alexa

Can someone help me with some info regarding Alexa connection. My vacuum does not work with Alexa, even though is supposed to work wit it

Hi, Have you asked Alexa to discover devices (please don't take that as an insult.  I don't mean it to be).  On other brands of robot vacuums I had issues with it not connecting to Alexa.  I downloaded the android app and connected thru it.  Alexa automatically found it afterwards.  Hope this helps.

I got mine in December,  connected to Alexa via the dreamehome skill, and it worked. Used it a few times and even set up custom alexa commands because the default commands were a little odd. however suddenly in January the dreame home skill was removed entirely. Have not been able to find it or reconnect.

Same. If someone has any updates as to when Dreame will be bringing back this functionality it would be much appreciated. It was an important feature I required when making my selection for my next smart vacuum.

My dreame l50 is compatible, but only through Matter. It seems like these vacuums used to be able to do more directly with Alexa, but then Alexa upgraded, and now dreame only works with Alexa through this matter as an intermediary. It seems like they are rolling out Matter support starting with the newest models, and going backwards. So first it was the x50 only, and now the x50 and l50. So I hope they eventually make your vacuum compatible with Matter so you can use it with alexa!
