Docking and mop pad issue

My brand new Dreame X50 Ultra will not dock!  It tries and tries and tries, but fails...so, I manually dock it.  Then, when I try to have it mop, it says mop pads not attached...but they ARE attached!  Before returning this unit as a lemon, I'm wondering if others have experienced this problem...and whether something can be done to resolve it!  Thanks!

I just got a new L40 ultra and she keeps getting lost trying to dock. I was super excited for this purchase and after today's experience I am very very very disappointed. How the heck do I get her to dock and work properly??? So frustrated

In the beginning mine was having that problem so I changed where I put the whole thing & that solved the problem

I am having the same issue.  Nobody wants to package this monster and return it.  For the cost of the product, it should function properly and the company should back up their product with free replacements.  The product must just be poorly designed and assembled because this problem is prevalent.

Hi, sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please confirm whether the LDS laser sensor on the top of the robot rotates and works normally when the robot starts working from the charging dock. Observe if there are any abnormal sounds or behaviors from the sensor.
During the process when the robot is  returning to the base station, please confirm whether the driving wheels slip, are stuck or trapped. If so, please wipe and clean the driving wheels to ensure their normal operation.
If the issue persists after completing all steps, we recommend sending the whole device for repair.

I am having the  very same issue for the last few weeks - it’s terrible! I can’t even get it to work at all the last few days because it continues to give me mop pad issues  regardless if they are on or off, or if I am asking it to vacuum first or mop & vacuum.  I hope this is a software update issue that can be fixed soon because it’s worked so well up until this point.
