[L40 Ultra] Navigation issue - Request for repair

Hello,


My robot vacuum seems to have trouble navigating properly these days. As you can see in the attached images, the robot moves randomly, draws irregular pahts, and often fails to follow an efficient cleaning route.
I have already cleaned all the sensors and made sure there are no obstructions, but the issue continues to happen repeatedly, even in an open area.
Please let me know how to preceed with troubleshooting or repair.

Is that all carpet areas. My wonders like a drunk person on our rug and Dreame has been no help. They rolled us back a version in firmware that was supposedly “optimized” for carpet. No improvement with carpet and we lost all the navigation upgrades of the latest firmware

you can add carpets to the map, so it will know to handle that area differently. you can also set it to clean carpets after with mop pads detached.

Manually adding carpets to the map did not fix or even improve this issue for me.

How about you just update the firmware to be able to tell the robot that a room has carpet? Why is this so hard? Do something!

I have the same issue. How do we get Dreame to give us a firmware that just allows you to change a room to fitted carpet on an existing map? Why is this so hard?

Similar issue with our L50 Ultra. It struggles with a clear path even when there is nothing in the way. So much for a camera and AI.

You could try doing a factory reset to clear out any software bugs. My unit has a tiny button under the front cover but check your manual.
