My vac is just going in circles

I received my vacuum on 13 June. It was supposed to be white, but whatever.
I am not happy with its performance at all!!
When it goes over my thin area rug it leaves all the stuff from the bottom of the machine on my carpet. I’ve tried using the extra vacuum power, but it does clean anything. Instead it spreads the animal hair and everything else all over the carpet. I’m not impressed with this vacuum at all.
