L40s will not go on living room carpet

L40s will not go on living room carpet. The piles are not that high. If it does go on it just does circles and acts drunk. I blocked the cliff sensor to trick it with same result. All settings are set correctly. That’s the main carpet in our home and it won’t vacuum it. Any suggestions ?
