X50 Vacuum Must Start on Non Carpeted Area

I’ve set the floor to carpet. The robot to vacuum only. Yet it simply drops the mops then heads out onto the carpet and gives me the same error. “Vacuum must start on non carpeted area”. This whole level of the house is carpet. Seems like a no brainer for a robot vacuum to… forgive me if this is asking too much… vacuum carpet.
