A squeaking sound on the Dreame L40s Ultra AE is usually caused by debris or friction in the moving parts rather than a major mechanical issue. Since your unit is only about 30 days old, it’s often an easy fix. Start by checking the side brush, main roller, and both wheels for hair or debris that may be wrapped around the axles. Remove and clean these components thoroughly. Also inspect the caster (front swivel) wheel, as this is a common source of squeaking—pull it out gently and clean any trapped dust or hair.

If the noise persists, you can apply a very small amount of food-grade silicone lubricant to the caster wheel axle. Avoid using oil-based lubricants like WD-40, as they can attract dust and potentially damage internal components. Additionally, ensure that the mop pads and brush guards are properly seated, as loose parts can also create squeaking sounds.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, the sound may be coming from the drive motors or suspension. Given that the unit is still under warranty, it would be advisable to contact Dreame customer support for inspection or replacement.
