[L40 Ultra] Ignores plant leaves and onion peel by terming them liquid stains

I have L40 ultra AE robot vacuum, I see that it ignores the plant leaves, onion peels in kitchen any clicking it's photo and terming it as liquid stains. Is it normal behavior? If it can't even pick those then what good is it?

Yes, this is actually normal behavior for the L40 Ultra / L40 Ultra AE. The robot uses an AI-powered camera to recognize different types of debris and to prevent spreading liquids across the floor. Because of this, lightweight or thin items like plant leaves and onion peels can sometimes be misidentified as “liquid stains.” When the robot believes it has detected a liquid, it avoids vacuuming that area to prevent smearing or damaging the mop pads.

It can be frustrating, it is a protective design feature rather than a malfunction.

Here are a few things you can try:
1. Use Vacuum-Only Mode – This encourages the robot to pick up dry debris without treating it as a liquid hazard.
2. Adjust Obstacle Avoidance Sensitivity – If your app allows it, switching to a lower sensitivity or standard mode can reduce false detections.
3. Ensure Good Lighting – The AI camera performs better in well-lit environments, which can help minimize misclassification.
4. Update the Firmware – Manufacturers often improve object recognition through software updates.
5. Send Feedback in the App – Using the “Send Feedback on Misrecognition” option helps improve future AI performance.
