How do you remove a rug from the map?

I forgot to remove a throw mat from a room before cleaning. As a result my  L40S Ultra AE the carpet/rug to the map. How do I remove it from the map?

Click the map editing icon/Floor type/Carpet. Navigate to the rug in question, and tap on it. Then click on the "x" of the square enclosing it. Save.
