How do I get the robot vacuum to re-do its auto detected carpets on the map?

Two questions
1. One a manually define some carpets or click the red auto generated carpets in a zone, the all warns the robot will stop detecting carpets in that area or something. How do I re-enable that?
2. What’s the best way to have one map have manual throw rugs and carpets defined, but to temporarily ignore certain ones so they can be mopped when I want a deep clean?

1. I think you can only re-enable auto-generated carpets by re-mapping.
2. If you want to mop areas under throw rugs, you can manually remove them, and temporarily  select "ignore" under carpet cleaning settings.
