Do I need to update the Dock to let it know that I have installed one or it’s just plug and play? Do I also REALLY need to use the official cleaning solution or can I use my own aftermarket brand?

I use my own! I use fabuloso! Leaves the house smelling AMAZING!!

Don’t use fabulous it’s fans up to much will ruining your dock over time
