Poor navigation/performance of Matrix10

I just got my Matrix10 and I have to say I am underwhelmed by its navigation ability. After setting it up and applying the waiting firmware update, I tried using it. It has gotten stuck multiple times on a 0.75" high threshold (it's supposed to be able to clear 0.87" single step) and a 0.5" threshold, it has gotten tangled in cables, and so forth.  I told it to clean a single room, which it started to do but then decided to go back to the dock to recharge.  After getting to the dock, it cleaned itself and then, without actually recharging, went out again - and went into a room other than the one I told it to clean.  It also decided not to mop my tile or wood floors, despite being set to do so.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our quick start guide has room for improvement, and we're actively working on making it clearer.
With more features comes a bit more complexity — we totally get that the first mapping and cleaning can feel like a lot. Your robot is learning your space, so a little patience goes a long way!
If you ever notice an issue with a specific part, just let us know and we'll send you a free replacement. We've got your back!
This isn't just a matter of learning the space.  It's getting stuck on thresholds it's supposed to be able to clear.  It's getting tangled in cables it's supposed to identify "100%" and avoid.  And this morning I noticed that it's not extending the corner brush when running along walls and corners.  The things that are advertised, are NOT WORKING.  Perhaps I have a defective unit that needs to be replaced under warranty?  Otherwise it's not performing as advertised and I'll need a refund, including shipping costs.
