Vacuum Only Option

Regarding the XL 50 Ultra:
If I pick Vacuum Only as an option, will the machine stay off rugs and carpet?

No, "vacuum only" simply means it will not perform any mopping tasks.

As the other user stated, you can click on the rugs and carpeted areas, and set them to "avoid" so the robot will not vacuum them. However, don't forget to switch it back to a vacuum setting! Otherwise, if you try to start a job in those room or on the rugs set to "avoid", it will tell you the robot is "unable to reach the specified area" due to your setting.

What happens when there is different types of flooring, rugs, carpet, vinyl, wood, etc? Will the machine not vacuum and or mop appropriately?
Thanks.
