Missing Piece - HELP!

My late aunt passed down her vacuum for me to have. I have tried so hard to figure out how to get it working. I’ve tried every replacement part I can think of. What else do I need? Any advice would be so gracious.

Would you mind asking your aunt for the purchase date? If it's still within the warranty period, we'd recommend sending the unit in for repair so we can take a proper look at it.
