Doesn’t recognize mop pads

My robot is having an error with the mop pads. When it is instructed to vacuum, it tries to release the mop pads at the base station but can’t. If I take them off, it still thinks they’re attached. If I command the robot only to mop with the pads on, it leaves the base and circles and returns to base stating cleaning complete. I’ve tried cleaning everything and resetting multiple times. Help!
