I also got the L40 Ultra today as well and having the same problem. It can’t figure out how to park itself in the dock and then starts looking in other areas. My floor is all stained concrete

Never mind my issue. Apparently when I lifted up my base station to the place for it to reside, I must have hit the power (rocker) switch, so the base station was off. Doh! lol

Cause it to come to stop cause it had no momentum to make it over thoses grooves and robot freaks out and resets to try again. My solution was a cardboard ramp but only works without mop pads

Yeah on the white ramp there’s these plastic grooves right at the tip of the ramp that stick up what I noticed is the robot seem to use absolutely no power when going up and it hits those grooves

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Dreame. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Ensure the charger plug is secure and the charging dock/base station is powered on. 2. Place the robot 1-2 meters in front of the charging dock/base station, and briefly press the Dock Button on the robot. If the robot fails to return to the dock, please contact us for further assistance. 3. If the robot successfully returns to the dock, follow these instructions:- Place the charging dock/base station against a wall in an open area, ensuring no obstacles within 1.5m in front and 0.5m on both sides.- Keep it away from signal interference sources like routers or TVs.- Avoid mirror reflections on the opposite side, such as mirrors or windows.
4. Ensure the robot starts cleaning from the dock, and verify the LDS laser sensor on top rotates normally. 5. Check if the main wheels are slipping, stuck, or trapped while cleaning. 6. If the above issues are resolved, restart the robot:- Open the upper cover, press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds.- Move the base to an open area and try again. 7. If the charging dock/base station is moved, place the robot onto the base and start cleaning from there. For further assistance, please refer to the article: Robot Vacuum Stray? I have the same issue when trying to dock on carpeted flooring. It does not have the power to push back onto the ramp.

Hi, You can try placing the base station on a surface without carpet, which may solve your problem. We hope the above information is helpful to you.

Make sure the power button is on ! It's located on the back of the base station! When it's on you'll see the base station light up in the front!
