Robot Suddenly Confused

Hi - i have had my L10 Pro for a year and love it. But i am hoping someone can assist me with performing a factory reset or similar.

Here is the situation: We recently got a new couch. Unlike the old couch, which was made up of 3 separate pieces, this new couch is a sectional in the shape of an L. Because of the new shape, we remapped our house so the robot could understand its changed path. The day after we got the couch, the poor thing was completely confused and so we assumed this would solve the problem.

That was three days ago, and since then, the robot gets stuck in the middle of an empty floor, with system messages that it has reached an obstruction???  It now just goes in circles when trying to return to its dock. When you ask it to spot clean, it doesn't do anything. It goes in circles, it doesn't mop or a vacuum and doesn't clean the mess but says it has completed its task.

We've done everything from cleaning the sensors, clearing cache, Cleaning the filters, making sure the base station is plugged in and cleaned. Everything seems to be correct. At this point I think it would be best to either wipe its memory and start from scratch with a complete setup or something else, but I don't know how to do those things. And so looking for support.

Help!! We have white tile floors.... a working robot is a must!!!

Same here. Ours had been working fine for 8 months until a couple of days ago. Also done all the resets, new mapping, checked the WiFi etc etc. After reading your story, I’m starting to think that mine might be doing it all since the latest firmware update. It was perfect before that update. Now it’s frazzled, has had LDS error trying to create a new map over 6 times. I’m busy collecting evidence for the support department. You can email them and the’ll respond reasonably quickly

Hi,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused.

In order to assist you in resolving the issue, we kindly request that you follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below:

1. Inspect the Main Wheels:
Please turn off the robot and carefully flip it over. Gently press the main wheels with both hands and examine them for any entangled foreign matter. If any debris is found, kindly clean it and manually slide the main wheels to ensure they turn smoothly.

2. Relocate and Restart:
We recommend moving the robot to an open space and restarting it. Please avoid operating the robot under strong light or on dark surfaces, as these conditions may affect its functionality.

3. Check the LDS Sensor:
Ensure that the LDS Sensor located on the top of the robot rotates normally. If necessary, clean any foreign matter from the sensor. (Please note that this step does not apply to the F9 model.)

4. Restart the Robot:
Kindly restart the robot and attempt to use it again.

5. Factory Reset:
Open the upper cover of the robot. Press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds to restore the factory settings .Afterward, please restart the robot and verify if the problem persists.

6. Deleted and remapped the map:

Should the issue continue after following these steps, please do not hesitate to contact us(support.na@dreame.tech) for additional assistance.
