Used water tank error

I installed my used water tank and I keep getting an error message saying that it is full or not installed. The vacuum manual shows a float ball, but I did not receive one in my package. I was wondering if that might be the issue, because I believe I installed everything correctly.

Yeah you are missing the float.

But I'm not sure how the station can read if there's a float or not. So now looking at mine I'm not sure if the float is the problem
