[X50 Ultra] Brand New X50 Ultra Right Out of the Box -- and it's defective!

Pretty amazing to me that one can spend this kind of money on a product and have it right out of the box be defective and needing replacement.  The base unit connects to power, then shuts itself off.  Dreame Tech Support tried to troubleshoot it, and finally just told me to have Amazon exchange it. Amazon tells me to have Dreame replace it.  And here I sit with a useless machine after spending this much money, and the manufacturer and the seller both want to shift the responsibility to the other. I'm told to wait a couple days for Dreame to respond to my request for a replacement.  Really?  A brand new item and Dreame has to "consider" whether to replace it or not?  If I end up just returning it to Amazon for a refund, I'll choose a competitor's product and consider this purchases a collosal mistake.  Does anyone do anything right anymore?

Don’t tell Amazon it’s broken. Just pack it and send it back. Then reorder. I had an issue with another product and this is what I did. Or you can order a new one, then return back the malfunctioning one. 🤷🏽‍♂️

You may already know this, but just in case because I didn’t know it and didn’t understand why the machine wasn’t charging and would cut off. You have to turn the base on with a flip switch on the back.
