Dreame D15 missing mapping areas. Limited range from base station?

My base station is at one end of my appartment (right on the map), and I have 2 rooms that are on the complete opposite side (left on the map). During mapping and cleaning, the robot doesn't reach all the way into those rooms. It doesn't map further than a seemingly arbitrary vertical line, despite going into the room and clearly "seeing" beyond that line. It also doesn't go beyond that region during cleaning. This is about 15m aways from the base station on that axis.

My guess is there is an arbitrary limited range per axis to prevent the robot from wandering if you leave it in a truly open area. I could probably move the base station closer to the center of my appartment to avoid the problem, but that placement would be inconvenient in my floor layout.
Is there a way to increase or disable that limit? I haven't found any setting relating to that.

Hello, it is advisable to place the base station in the center of the house to ensure a complete map can be generated.

As in is this the official response from support that this is not possible and surfaces of this size are not supported?

That's not practical for my layout. To be clear, should I take your answer as "there is no such setting and moving the base station to a more inconvenient location is the only functional solution"?

My base is at one end of my house and I have a bedroom at the opposite end of my house and it reaches. It's approx 40 ft away

That tracks, 40ft is less than 15m.
