Mopping

I just received mine yesterday. I haven’t used the mopping yet, but I just was curious about only using water. How does this clean your floor if you can’t use any type of mopping solution

Mine mops and cleans well.  I definitely don’t use mine as a complete replacement to manual cleaning.  I still mop my floors with a traditional mop once a week, as I would with any robot vacuum.   They are great for daily cleaning, but I still use my standup vacuum and traditional handheld or steam mop as well for the deeper cleaning.   For me, my Dreame is for daily-but I have a small dog in the house-I like my floors clean!  

Additionally, I don’t like cleaning solution used daily on my house.

If you bought a model that has the container for automatically dispensing the cleaning solution it uses it to clean the mop pads. It washes the pads before it starts mopping and depending on how often you set it to go back and wash the mop pads. I believe there is still some residual cleaning solution on the mop pads but if I am wrong it still keeps my floors immaculate. We don't wear shoes in my home 95% of the time. My family is running around with white socks and they never look the least bit dirty. It says on Dreame cleaning solution that you can add it to the clean water tank and it has the ratio to be diluted on the bottle. I don't add it because I don't feel it needs it and I don't want it in my machine.
