Auto Empty not working

How can you clean the docking canister so that it will suction the trash out of the robot? It goes through the motions but it doesn’t empty. I have to manually empty the robot canister

I discovered the clog was in the robot and was a butt load of dog hair. Try removing the dust bin in the robot and looking behind it.
