Floor mats and rugs runners

Our new Dreame L40 Ultra CE works great for vacuuming and cleaning the hard floor, but it won’t go over floor mats or runners. It catches them and either rolls them up a bit, or just goes along the edges. Even on the low setting -vacuum only. Is there a way to remedy this? Our cheap old one went over the floor mats fine.

Same, so frustrating. There is a setting somewhere in the map to ignore mats…I want it to sweep them!

The L40 Ultra is the dumbest smart robot in existence. Can't even vacuum carpeted rooms. It's confused by the floor surface but its firmware doesn't even prompt the bot to ask the user to clarify what the floor type is! Which would help in your situation, too. "Hey I think I detected a rug here. Is this a rug?"

Nope . Too dumb to do that.

I thought I had that problem but it just came back to the rugs after and went over them just fine. Didn’t even notice until I looked at its path in the app after and it went over all of them seemingly without a problem!

If it’s having trouble diagnosing a rug or carpet section, you should be able to set the floor type in the app once for setup and it will always remember.

To clarify, it did that even without the “Vacuum After” setting turned on. ^
