Brush is Noisy

I just got this for Christmas and the three prong brush that rotates is very noisy against my floors.  The plastic hits the floor with every stroke.  Is this normal? The first time I ran it I swear it don’t make that sound.

I would make sure the brush is properly inserted and there is not a hard object rolling around inside the cradle
