Dirty water bin

My dirty water bin smells so bad when I empty it that I almost vomit every time. What can i do to prevent this?

Wash it out with a mild dish washing soap, leave it open, drain it upside down, and let it dry out completely or wipe it dry. That’s what I do and it’s been doing a lot better on the smell.

I add maybe an 8th of a cup of vinegar to the waste water bin before running the machine. It helps tremendously!

I had the same problem. When you empty the dirty water tank, spray it with all purpose cleaner. No rinsing necessary. It kills bacteria and it lasts until you empty it again.

I am going to try the vinegar

I just use denture tablets dissolved in a tiny bit of water at the bottom. I can leave the dirty water for about 2 days before it smells but it only smells once opened, not just sitting in the base.

When I empty the dirty water tank, I rinse it out with water and leave the lid open for it to dry out completely before I close the lid and put it back in the machine

I put a little pine sol in mine after dumping and rinsing it.
