emptying the on board basket weekly to prevent clog

Is there a way to help my vacuum get the pet hair from the onboard basket into the collection dust bin bag. If I have to empty this every week to prevent it clogging up and not vacuuming correctly why did I buy the unit with the auto emptying feature. If I have to empty the basket once a week anyway and there’s nothing ever in the bag on my collection unit I should’ve just bought a cheaper version and just emptied it daily myself.

This is my issue.

How often are you running it? Carpet or hardwood or both?

First, check whether you can hear the fan/motor sound from the base station during auto‑empty. If there is sound, you can adjust the auto‑empty frequency — this helps avoid clogging and ensures the dust bin isn't overloaded when the station tries to empty it. We'd recommend setting the robot to clean a smaller area before each auto‑empty cycle, so it empties more frequently and more effectively.
